SCOTTSDALE, Arizona, May 2026 – NexStep Teen Academy is proud to announce a joint partnership with ThrivePoint High School for outpatient clients. This partnership ensures PHP (Partial Hospitalization) clients at NexStep Teen Academy can receive individualized, educational support while still working through the continuum of care for their behavioral health.
“We find that it’s critical for our clients to continue schooling while in our care, both to meet academic requirements, but also because the challenges they face academically can act as a window into how they manage frustrations of everyday life. As our clients improve day-to-day structure adherence and frustration tolerance in school, we tend to see an overall improvement in life skills and family,” said Director of Family Services, Ashley Daniels.
“Many teens at NexStep have stepped down from our residential program, Nexus Teen Academy, and are already accustomed to schooling through ThrivePoint. Through this partnership, we’ve seen our clients become more confident academically, set and achieve educational goals, and better manage obstacles (in and out of school). This partnership allows our team to continue providing excellent academic support to RTC clients already in our ecosystem, while also giving new admits a chance to further improve their academics while in our care.
Through ThrivePoint High School, clients at NexStep will have access to online classes and individualized learning plans with white-glove support. in a flexible environment that offers white-glove support. ThrivePoint helps provide a personalized approach by offering proactive support to improve and maintain their academic pursuits while receiving mental health treatment.
“This joint partnership is vital to the long-term success of the teens at NexStep,” said Executive Director Hannah Carr.
“It allows our clients to continue to strive for academic success while also working through clinical programming, helping NexStep provide a complete and comprehensive approach to our treatment plans.”
NexStep clients who have independently enrolled in ThrivePoint have been tremendously successful so far in improving their academics. NexStep and ThrivePoint developed this partnership to ensure that high school students from Arizona, California, Utah, and Nevada who come into or step down into NexStep’s care receive or continue to receive the academic support that can help them continue to improve the structure in their lives that is pertinent to long-term success from a treatment standpoint.
